I found a mint passenger side evo 9 Seat for a decent price locally. is there anyway i can remove my driver side seat and connect the driver side rail and seat belt attachment to the drivers side??? obviously the adjustment know would be on the wrong side too

i have an SSL evo and i hate all leather seats. ive been dieing to get a set of evo 9 seats but we all know how much they.

Yes it can be done. Its not hard at all

 

I never did it but I've looked into it. There are a couple of threads on here with pictures of people at least trying to do this. The first problem is removing the slides. The fasteners have thread locker. Without heat they don't come out and with heat maybe - like I said I stopped at that point - I had other seats so in they went.

The old seats remain in my garage and I intend to get back to them one of these days, switching the driver's with the passenger seat.

yes i just realized this all i/anyone would need to to is unbolt both seats and swap the rails very easy, and although the bolts took some work to loosen. I was able to do it with just a 6'rachet wrench. heads up for anyone reading this down the road its a torx bit that holds the rails to the seat.

the problem though if one where to do this is the adjustment knob would be on the inside towards the center console. but i dont think evo ppl recline our seats much anyways since its a pain to rotate the knob in its normal position

I ended up buying the evo 9 seat covers they had and swapped them onto my drivers seat as opposed to buying the evo passenger seat and swapping my rails. it was kind of a pain in the ***

1) cost me 200$ as opposed to 500$, and I'm in college/cheap-ish
2) I never sit in the passenger side seat so why would i care
3) they are both black the only difference is black leather vs black suede and the red/grey recaro logo

now im tempted to by that passenger seat to have a front set ... they are so damn expensive and hard to find
