What do you want to do with your Evo?

As far as borrowing money for investment in securities, that is something tightly regulated by the Federal Reserve. Hence, if you take out a bank loan, one of the covenants will be that the loan proceeds will only be used for certain purposes, and another will specifically relate to those Federal Reserve regulations. (S, T and U, IIRC.)

Before anyone flies off the handle, let me repeat: these regulations apply to investing loan proceeds in securities. You still can borrow to buy a home or rental property.

Let not lose the spirit of this thread. I agree with you totally. I think the fore post was saying just invest the money for the future. But the OP just wants to know what he should do with his Evo.

String e 85 build and tune it. Keep extra cash to maintain it.

I still stick with my FP Red suggestion. You couple that with supporting mods you'll be in the mid 400's easy.

I think I have my path. I'd love feedback.
Ets intake and ets intercooler with piping.
Hallman pro boost controller and a 45 mm guage for stock location.
Exedy stage 1 hd
Mil spec 100 cell cat, Megan racing o2 housing, and fp green bb
Tuned at 25 psi.
According to ivytune this will get past my power goal.

Option 2 would be above minus the turbo and o2 housing and keep the stock clutch until it goes.

Why not just get a Grimmspeed EBCS instead of the Hallman?

Dont touch the turbo, go get an e85 tune some motons or ohlins, acd flash if you got acd.
You'll get to enjoy a killer suspension more than the few times you find an opening to keep it floored in traffic for more than 1 gear. Plus less likely to get tickets.

I don't want to go e85. I don't even know where I can buy it. Definitely not at any of my local stations. I am trying to lighten the sting I having to sell my 600 hp pantera. The evo already turns and stops much better, but it's 20 mph slower at the end of the 1/4 mile.

Thanks for the help. The parts are purchased. Fp green ball bearing ets intercooler piping and intake. Exedy stage 1 hd mil spec cat Megan o2 housing hallman pro rx, and a 45 mm boost gauge for stock location. I'm going to ask for a conservative tune, so I'm not expecting monster power numbers.
