Switched to Speed Density Lost Power?

Heres the story. Last summer had the car tuned at Buschur and made 331whp 325tq. At that time I had Injen intercooler piping and intake with a Nisei fmic. This year I switched to the Buschur fmic and piping and added the SD. Those are the ONLY parts I changed. I just got retuned yesterday and made 310whp 312tq. I have no clue what is going on and David was stumped. My car also does this odd thing where if I granny shift into 2nd and full throttle it will hesitate for a moment then go. It only does this if you shift slow. If you bang 1st to 2nd it is smooth. Any input on these two issues would be appreciated.

Could be any number of things. The piping and the IC change wouldn't make much of a change if any at all.

Need to go over the car man. Boost Leaks, Plugs, Turbo Etc...

Fresh plugs, turbo in great shape, holding 28 psi so no leaks. I wasnt expecting to make much more power but it should have made at least the same as last year.

"Holding 28psi" via a boost leak test?

Let me rephrase this. Im on stock turbo 28 psi spike then obviously it bleeds off up top. Here is the dyno sheet. Boost is red line at the bottom. Looks like 29 psi spike actually.

You could still have a boost leak, among other things.
I'd test it and go from there. Are your AFRs okay?

the weather you are being tuned in can make a huge difference. i picked up over 30whp just from weather when my car was dynoed in cool, low humid weather

you arent going to pick up much power, if any, anyway just from switching a fmic

I had it tuned in the summer last year too so the weather couldnt be much different. Like I said I didnt expect to pick up much power just confused as to why it didnt at least make the same.

I guess the real test will be at the track. Ran a couple 11.9s last year best trap was 116.9 if it runs close to that it could just be the numbers are off.

His correction factors last year could have been different this year. They are just numbers, remember that! Bring it to the track and see how it performs

He said he does not have weather correction for his dyno. Yep the track will be the true test.

Anyone have an idea as to what could cause the hiccup on the slow 1st to 2nd shift?
