Hi guys dont know if this thread has been a topic before but
I have a quick question did my research..im trying to find how much qts.
Do i need for engine oil on a 05 evo 8...the manuals said 5qts.,alldata 4.8 (exclude oil filter and oil cooler)the one on youtube said its 4.5..so which one is it? Im new to maintenace on turbocharge car,most car i drove and maintain is Natural aspired engine..thanks

 

I use 4.8 everytime

 

I just put in a big jug of Rotella T6 and a small 1 quarter which equals 5 quarts. I've been doing this on my old Evo X too and didn't have any issues.

You should be fine putting in 5 full quarts. Its perfectly fine to over fill a little bit (less than half a quart)
