Question Kickback?

I don't know if this is normal or not but my evo is the first car I have had with this accurate of steering. Onto the question. When I'm driving the car seems to follow the road, in a manner of speaking, if I let it go straight on most roads (not too smooth where I live) . But on the much smoother roads it goes entirely straight? Does anyone else's evo have a bit of kickback?

I think its the tires. They are so sticky and grippy that 'grooves' and other imperfections in the road tend to grab your car and pull that way. One perfect example is 'dents' left by trucks, they wreak havoc on driving in a straight line.

Mine does it too, so shouldn't be anything to worry about

Try to get an alignment done, sounds like you have too much camber up front.

Yup, lots of bumpsteer, its the Advans. I put on a different brand with same dimensions for winter and the noise and bumpsteer is gone. Put back on the Advans and the noise and bumpsteer is back. I would say get used to it or change tires....

This is normal. Your alignment is fine. The "tracking" is caused by camber and tire characteristics. Just use 2 hands.

Perfectly normal. This is due a lot to the tires. If you were to throw a set of regular balogna skins on, you'd notice it drives "more" like a normal car. Between the stiff side walls and the tread design the car will tend to follow the pavement. I had an Impreza RS once which never pulled or followed the road until I put a nice set of stickie tires with stiff side walls. You'll get used to it quick (your alignment is probably fine too).

Yeah it's normal, but that's one of the best things about the Advans

Every car I will own will have to have Advans from now on. It's my new favorite tire
