AC Compressor Issue
AC Compressor Issue
Alright, I had my AC compressor clutch lock up on me, see attached picture (that should be 3 parts, but clearly there were some items that snapped), which caused the belt to burn up and snap. That being said, I purchased all of the new parts, and installed them today, measured my air gap, and made sure that everything was plugged in. When I started the car, and turned on the AC I find that the armature isn't spinning, and this means the AC isn't working.
So my question is, what could be wrong here? Could the entire compressor have locked up? If so, would I still be able to spin the armature?
I also checked the low pressure side of the ac with a cheapy gauge and it is pegging out the gauge so I know it still has R134a in the lines.
Thanks for any help or ideas.
