ABS light with a twist
So recently noticed this light came on and then went out. It didn't come back on for a week. Now when I go for a drive it will not be on like this weekend. Went to a friend's place, hung out for few hours. Go to leave and the light is on. Now normally I'd hook up the code scanner to figure this out, but AEM series 2 rules the roost. So how can I figure out if it's the ABS going out or a speed sensor failure?
Jump pins 1 and 4 on the OBD 2 and watch for the flashing code, then look up the code on google. I know there's a chart somewhere on here that lists the codes.
a long flash is a ten's spot
a short flash is a one's spot
so 2 long flashes and 4 short flashes would be 24.
This sounds like when the abs ring on my axle was bad, I replaced it and it never came on again.

Try a WTB in for sale section, those sensors aren't cheap new. Working used ones can be had for under a hundred.
I used PB blaster and vice grips to get the old sensor out on mine, sometimes you'll have to drill/chisel the old one out if it is stuck in the knuckle really bad. The new sensor should go in semi tightly, but don't hammer it in. I had to use some sand paper on the hole to get the new sensor to go in. Hope this helps you out.
