Hi all im kinda strugleing with this problem ive got an evo 7 and the other day after a little blast or 2 i had the 3 lights come on u no gravel tarmack snow and now when i start the car one comes on then after a few mins they all come on every time not good! I did notice when i got home that the bottle in the boot was way down past min so im thinkin that if the pump was bleed would this pit it bak to normal? Cos i thought it mite of sucked some air in ice read all kinds of stories on various sites sayin the pump is f--ked has anyone had the same issue? Also y does the level drop have i got a leak? Any help would b great thanks anywho!!

 

Sounds like the ACD pump took a turn for the worst. If you drain and refilled the fluid, it won't do anything. Well, it didn't work for me. You might have different results. Your only chices is to replace the ACD pump, rebuild, or go non-ACD.

 

Ive seen the rebuild kits do u know if they are hard to do?

I wouldn't know, I made the attempt but broke something while trying to take it apart. Then I just bought a used one in the FS section.

I've just rebuilt my ACD pump using a kit and it works fine, although when I was stripping it down I noticed that there were two lugs that are cast onto the main pump body, these broke when I managed to split the pump from the body. Luckily I have a TIG welder with HF (High Frequency) and was able to re-weld the lugs back onto the pump body before assembling the pump. It now works perfectly, mind you, it does take some bleeding through :/
