Based on the fact that a 10.5 compression engine would not be too thrilled to see 35psi on pump gas

What you have Sir is basically an e85/98 motor only. Sure it can be tuned for pump 93 but no where near that kind of boost.

Good luck!

There's a reason the 10.5 Wiseco piston is labeled as a "E85" piston only. You're playing with fire honestly. That is way to much boost for 93 pump gas and that is way too much compression for pump gas. And you have both. Not to mention you beating the hell out of it doesn't help either. Not trying to sound like a dick but I wouldn't be surprised if there's some serious damage.

hoses love blowing off of the throttle body. The usual trick is to hit them with some hair spray and then a zip tie to keep them from blowing off. The crank position sensor though might be a sign of something a lot more ominous. While not common for the evo, the 4g63 has had many problems in the past with crank walk, which usually kills the crank position sensor first. Definitely check for crank walk while replacing that sensor.

What level boost is safe for 93 octane on my setup? Would it be ok to just run only e85? Its not a daily driver so im fine with e85 only.

Is there a procedure to check crank walk? Never heard of that before.

The car was tuned by Ivey tune in New Jersey and "supposedly" has two tunes, one e85 (have dyno sheet 675whp and 533tq) and dont have a dyno sheet but the guy i bought it from said 93 octane a little over 450 whp. you can switch between the two by holding the gas in and the service engine light flashes fast for e85 and slow for 93

Its pretty easy to check for crank walk if you have the tools. There must be a ton of youtube videos on how to do it. Try searching for DSM crankwalk.

Do you work there? Are referring to the one in Fairfax city? Also do they work on frankensteins like my car?

Some good news, jacked the car up and realized the starter connection fell off! Car fired right up, I was listening to the engine doesn't sound like metal rolling around and doesn't seem to be misfiring, I also called and talked to Ivey tune and apparently the guy that built it only spend a few hours there and was having fueling problems, they suggested turning the boost down to 28psi on less on 93 and can run 30+ on e85. Hopefully the crank sensor smooths things out when it comes in, I have yet to take it for a ride yet as its raining and Its parked in behind my other cars.

Ive never heard of an evo crankwalking but the dsm's had an issue with the 7 bolt motors. Then they redesigned the center thrust washer and bearing for the 2000+ 7 bolt blocks and that fixed it as far as I can tell.

ONLY TAKE AN EVO TO AN EVO SHOP THAT WORKS ON THESE ALL THE TIME. Its in caps because that is the single best advice anyone will ever give you on your Evo. Good Luck

Yah its rare, certainly not the problem it was for the 2g guys, but it can still happen. Just doing a quick search of evom will yield cases of people with crank walk. Since this engine was rebuilt it could be at an even higher risk, depending on the competency of the builder.
