can evo 8 waste gate work on 9 turbo

Can a evo 8 waste gate work on a evo 9 turbo. I have a kinugawa 25G and their adjustable waste gate , specified a 22 psi spring but im only getting 14psi. Gave it maximum preload and even removed the nut and there's no difference . blocked off both vacuum lines so theres no pressure and can only get 19psi.

I have my old wastegate from the evo 4-8 that I removed the nut and bent the rod and got 27psi on my stock 5 turbo that I ran without issues. WIll this work on the kinugawa evo 9 25G?

The 8 wga will work on a 9 turbo if you shim the $#!t out if it. Looks tacky though.
Those guys, Kinugawa or kando sister company (can't remember which) sells an OEM style high psi wga that performs flawlessly.
The billet one is difficult to make function well.

Did you try modding the 8 WGA? Modded you should be able to see 23-25 PSI on the stock MHI actuator. When new its spring is rated at 10 PSI. So, you gotta cut a few threads off the tip of the rod and ditch the backup nut.
