Best Method to Reach Turbo/Waste Gate
Best Method to Reach Turbo/Waste Gate
I bought a Hallman Boost Controller, the in cockpit one. Ive decided to install the controller with the Turbo/Waste Gate method instead of the BOV/Waste Gate Method. I was just curious to know what is the best method to reach the Waste Gate? Should I lift the car up and go from the bottom, or remove peices and go from the top?
Also, is there any existing hole in the drivers side fire wall i can pull the wire for the **** pit controller through?
I've tried searching but im geting too many broad results. If any threads are already out could you please paste a link in this thread? Thankyou

Someone who has installed a boost controller before, could your please IM me on AIM at Psychoblader2k1. Im having a little trouble understanding what to do and just need a little help
1) For the cockpit install, use the instructions given by Hallman. If you don't have them, then go to his website, and you'll see the instructions there.
2) As for the installation, this isn't rocket science, bro. There are many write-ups on here that show how to do it. You just have to choose the method you prefer. You can remove the undertray and connect the hoses to the turbo/wga from beneath. You can remove the radiator fan in order to get down there. You can remove the intake and IC piping to get down there. Or, if you have small hands with great dexterity, you can leave it all connected and just reach down.

My 11 year old daughter has installed, removed, and reinstalled a MBC, each time in less than 45 minutes, using only needlenose pliers.
Small hands, a step stool, and long fingers help.
Seriously, it is a simple job; the first time I did it, I removed the airbox, moved the UICP and turbo inlet hoses, and the radiator fan to see what I was doing. It still took only 45 minutes.
There's a grommet on the passenger's side behind the glovebox like Warr said that's easy to get to.
