Hey guys I'm thinking of getting bigger turbo or upgrading other things for my TME if you have any advice or recommendations please feel free to post. I would also like to add that my car is pretty much stock not much modifications too it. So if I do upgrade my turbo what other modifications will I need to add. My budget probably just under 10k.

 

If I had a TME I'd keep it stock. Those are destined to just go up in price as time goes on.

 

-full turbo back exhaust 3"
-port your O2 housing
-Cams
-IC and piping upgrade
-fuel pump upgrade
-intake
-tune!

 

I would say FP 71HTA, intake, full exhaust, S1/S2 cams, plazmaman intercooler&piping, & tune. That way it remains mostly stock(ish) and gives you an extra ~40-50whp. Spend the rest of your budget on new bushings, sway bars, and a nice set of coilovers (like MCS or JRZ)

Also, get rid of the ACD pump and go with the RS rear diff or a USDM 8/9 rear diff.

It's a limited edition car. Keep that and buy a cheap 8 for modding.

Does anyone know any other set ups they have done on their car or know someone?
I'm just looking at what options I can do to it.
Also in saying that I understand in keeping most of it stock.
Although I don't really plan on getting selling it atm, I just wanna see what I can do and have fun with it.

 

I've seen so many hacked up Evo 8s, why risk buying someone elses junk to try and mod if he has a great platform to start from? It is only a car.
