Thanks for the post

Looks just like the concept shown in Frankfurt last year.
I wonder if they'll still use the 3.5l V6 MIVEC to power it.
In 1998 there was a street version release for JDM with 280hp
Maybe we'll see the return of that

Based on the last new release, it should still be powered by the 3.5L MIVEC V6. However, I think there will be some major improvements made...not sure.

There were 2,500 units of Pajero EVO release in 1998. See THIS

MIVEC improvements

LanEvo I gotta add to your comment on the MIVEC improvements.

It seems is in the process of reviving the MIVEC program, which falls in line with the company's announcement of more powerful engines starting with the 2004 model year

... actually... starting this year with the 3.8l V6 in the Montero...

LanEvo - out of that 2500 does it say how many were manual and how many tiptronic?

The 'New' Pajero EVO will be in the following models:

Pajero EVO 2 with 3.5 V6 Mivec & AYC etc
Pajero EVO 2+2 with 4.5 or 5 Ltr V8 Mivec & AYC etc
