Who knows why there is a half radiator. Maybe he was planing for future mods? It shouldn't be an issue. From my POV that seems like a reasonable price seeing how good of condition it's in.
Carfax is good, 3 owners and he's owned it since 2012 where he bought it with 50k on it. Seems like he bought it, did some maintenance and what not, and had it since. I agree the half rad is a good indication of a turbo kit, he is going to call me a little later tonight and I'm going to inquire about that. I can bring some compression stuff with me to test as well.

You can put big *** turbo and have full size rad. No reason to be affraid of that. You have to understand that finding untouched evo is like finding the virgin in the ***** house.all you have to do is compression/leak down . This way you can understand the health of motor.
Heard back from the guy, he said this "I wanted to go aluminum radiator, but I also wanted to have extra space in the engine bay for a bigger turbo if I went that way." He said the reviews for that rad were good and he liked having the freed up space. Either way, nothing I can do to tell other than comp test. The motor is not built.
I just paid $20K for mine with a few more miles and a few less mods, many of the same mods though. The guy I bought it from said it had new brakes and rotors but they weren't that good so I need to replace the pads and rotors asap. My transmission is a little rough going into 3rd and 5th gear. Overall still very happy with the purchase. Love the car.
That one looks like a decent deal to me. Is it solid driving it? Does it have lots of rattles? When I was shopping, almost all of the ones I test drove, even with fewer miles, had lots of squeaks and rattles that drove me crazy. The one I bought was quiet (except for the 3" turbo back exhaust) and solid.

I was looking at this one for a while as well. But like the rest of the guys have said, do the compression test and whatnot and of course you will have to make up your mind once you see it. It's not good practice to make your mind up before seeing and driving the vehicle...
