Another transfer case thread

Hey everyone, I'm apologizing in advance bc I know there are a lot of threads regarding different transfer cases and what not. I however cannot find the correct thread with all the answers I need. Basically I have my evo 9 for 6 years now and I have decided I want to make it into a weekend drag evo. With that said, here are my questions.
1- best kind of transfer case for drag? I think it's the rs LSD xcase?
2- can I convert my acd xcase into a non acd case? If so how?
3- what kind of differential should I use or have to use with the correct xcase?
I know it's dumb to take away the acd transfer case and diff, but like I said the car will on be a weekend drag car and maybe go out to scare my girlfriend to death. Anyway please no flaming I just would like some help. Thanks
-Chris

1. Honestly your stock one can be made the into the best kind of transfer case. Any transfer case that has been re-shimmed to adjust clearances, REM treated, and had a 10mm bolt upgrade.

Here is an overkill example:

2. Yes, you can. It has been done and the service is offered by several vendors. You would just have to worry about removing the ACD pump and ECU from the car.

3. The wavetrac LSD is one of the strongest diffs available for our transfer case. People love it because it's also more aggressive than the stock unit.

Taking away the ACD from the transfer case is not a bad idea for what you're trying to do with the car. MIVEC and ACD are both a pain in the *** to deal with at times. Hope this helps.

Thanks a lot, this helps tremendously. I figured since I'm going to drag only with my evo than the acd is pretty much not needed so I'm glad to hear that I can get is converted. I basically gutted the entire car, engine suspension and interior so the acd pump, lines and ecu are out already. I just didn't want to go throughout the hassle of selling my transfer case when I can get it overhauled. Do u know which vendor coverts the transfer cases? Now what about the rear diff? What would I need if I'm doing an LSD front diff? Just a LSD rear diff?
