im planning on removing the Intercooler water sprayer in doing so i wont need the button in the middle. so i would like to know if anyone has removed the 03 cup holder center console for the 05. i've looked through the forum and havent found any answers all help is greatly appreciated. Also if it was already posted someone can send me the link.

It should be a direct bolt in. Literally 2 screws. You might consider keeping the switch though, as its a great way to switch between Timing/fuel maps with Tephramod. I removed my sprayer a long time ago but kept the switch for this purpose.

 

The picture you have there is from an 06 EVO IX SE interior, not an 05 EVO VIII. Same center console though.

 

It's from an MR SE; has the 6-speed shifter. But the rear section is identical

 

I have complete IX interior in my VIII, steering wheel, seats, door cards, center console ect.

 

Why would you want to remove the sprayers?

 

Useless gimmick

 

The cup holders are held on the center console by 4 screws. You can just switch the cup holder. I know because I got an SSL center console and it came with the hole in the cup holder portion so I just switched them.

 

reason for removing like another member said really useless to me im not running on auto x or anything that it would heat up to that extent IMO

 

I have have switched the cup holder on my 03 with an 05/06.fits just like normal.
