OP wanted a trans brake. Just letting him know that the kind of launch you get with a trans brake will grenade an Evo driveline. I have no clue about the Evo auto project.


And a trans brake is simply engaging reverse gear and first gear at the same time. Just like with any other trans, I'm sure a custom valvebody and/or programming would be able to accomplish it.

 

There is no way to make a trans brake for these trans because they are a mechanical first and reverse gear they can only be selected by the shifter. I wish there was a way to do a trans brake.

 

A TH400, C6, or 727 is the same way. You just need a custom valve body. They modify the reverse oil circuit in the valve body and put it on a solenoid.

 

the 4l80e guys have also had luck engaging 1st and 3rd together.

is the c4s based on a mitsu trans thats just got better guts?
