LED high/low beam conversion
LED high/low beam conversion
Im looking to convert my HIDs and high beams into LEDs. Im looking into the best options and right now looking for help and also i wanted to see if anyone has done this yet. Not sure how it would go but i was thinking 6000K or 8000K at 25w or 35w
Because I found a good kit for barely over the price of new HIDs. Kelvin doesn't matter I just figured I'd go with 6000-8000 . I need new lights mine went out. And LEDs last much longer. Do you disagree that it's a good idea? Regardless of kelvin
Not 100% sure how the HID's are in the Evo as I don't drive my car in the snow... but I had LED lights in my truck for 2 years and 100% hated them in the winter time due to the LED's produce no heat to melt the snow off your headlight housing. So while your driving around in the snow, your headlights get packed full of snow/ice and you have to constantly get out and wipe it off. Needless to say I sold the LED's and went back to some regular bulbs. You might not live in an area with snow and this might not matter to you.. but its something to think about

Don't do it. ..you will hate it. And as said above the purpose of your headlight it so see and be seen. So Kelvin does matter and is very important because getting as high as you talking about reduces light emission a lot. And a 25 or 35w led already will produce less light and an equivalent hid. In regards to hid, if you plan to go that route do yourself a favor and research hid retrofit .
