i really thought leds would produce more light i did do some research and looked through a lot of information but if you guys believe or know for a fact that leds are subpar comparatively then i dont want to downgrade i am only looking for all around better lights, mine went out and i just wanted to get something better

How are HID lights not good enough? i dont get it....... You have them aimed at the ground 10ft in front of you or something.
I bet you those $60 LEDs are not as good at those $500 HIDs....
Acura LED headlights are $1500 each. You get way you pay for
I for one am not willing to put untested, illegal, Chinese crap in my car and pray it doesnt burn itself to the ground.

You can get a replacement OEM HID bulb for $40 that should last a minimum of 3000 hours, usually closer to the 5000 hour rating. You should only have to replace them once every 10 years.
You bought an Evo, not a 96 Civic DX, dont cheap out and buy ebay junk.
Go get yourself a Phillips 85122 bulb and call it a day. Or you want a bit more brightness and color the 85122+

4300K is usually what OEMs use. Stick to that.
