Anyone has ever tried to convert the high beam to HID? Is it possible?

You would need to get a set of hid projectors with ballasts but you wouldn't be able to flash your high beams and it would literaly blind people on the road.

Unless you do a lot of driving with your high beams on constantly, you're better off getting a set of 9005 hyper-white bulbs. If you're just going to flash-to-pass, the bulbs won't heat up fast enough to do any good. Space is also an issue in our engine bays. I've got HID foglights and I had a hard time finding a suitable location for one set of ballasts.

you could flash them and they would be brighter, but hid brights is kinda useless. hid fogs is a def must. what type of hid fogs would we use?

you will kill an hid capsule if you flash and/or power cycle them like you do with highbeam lights. if you get a crappy aftermarket set, don't expect them to last more than a few months.

Sounds like a plan for the high beam. How did you install the HID foglights? Are they replacing the factory foglight?

Since I have the JDM MR headlights, I had to a bit of wire splicing with a new harness to replace the H11 with a 9006. From there it was just a simple install of a HID conversion kit.
