Call me old
cough* "THE IX IS BETTER" cough* we are all equal and I'm also glad we have some older (read more mature) folks here, I'm going on 36 so it's nice to know that I could tell my wife I'm not in a kids car
I definitely agree that there is a somewhat wierd disconnect from the 4G63 world. Most X owners I meet are more or less, "yeah cool bruh, but I have a X"..
I have even had some douchebag tell me he has the "Evo Ex"..

Unfortunately, many casual carwatchers assume that since the X is newer than the IX, it has to be better - X owners included.
The local Evo IX owners' group tells me that Evos don't do that to Evos and that has proven true - I have been cut off and blown past by Xs, but never by fellow IXs.

ralliarts are what really aggravate me, they get all excited to see a ct9a and attempt to be all buddy buddy and i want none of it. being an evo owner thats 20, i want to run pretty much anything modified. therefore, i would assume it wasnt hate. however, the fact that there was traffic and he tried bothers me

It is interesting that we have some common perceptions of the CT9A vs the CZ4A when it comes to comradery.
It seems silly, but on the road, the primitive man comes out & logic goes out the window

EDIT: Dave Mirra. So Sorry to hear the news =(

I haven't even been in the game for that long, a little over two years but I GET it. The large amount of people I met in the community because of this car helped me appreciate it more. This car, is an amazing machine, haha. Anyone who is fortunate enough to drive one/own one and appreciates it are the ones who understands what its all about.
I actually love this thread. Bought mine new after many dsm's over the years. Have made an extensive group of friends over the years due to it. And can say we are all having the remember when conversations these days. And my driven has calmed down to just giving a nod and a wave and when people rev or act silly it surprises me more then anything. And really it's either a x a mustang or a camaro around me. Seems to be the kids gravitate towards the x due to it being newer and perceived as faster these days. Love my old mitsus tho, just walking out to the garage to enjoy a beer and stare already puts a smile on my face.
I think all in all and no matter where on this earth you live if you own an Evo 3-9 your an enthusiast which means we all have something in common and relate to ourselves, we are like family, group hug time
