Has any ever built a kit car in their garage?
Has any ever built a kit car in their garage?
Ok this will probably get moved, but I'll start it here.
A few years back one of my mates tooK me over to see a couple of his mate who had decided to build an AC Cobra at one of their houses, none had any special experience and when I dropped in they were sort of sitting around this chasis they had bought as the cheapest stage to start it off, it was just a frame without a body, on jacks and they were fitting the first wheel disc and bearing assembly, I was taken back by the amount of work that needed to be done sourcing the rest of the car, they had the body shell in primor hanging up in the other guys garage, all the motor and drive train and internals were yet to be found, it turned out that it took them 2 years to complete it and I have always felt like doing one myself, something about driving a big block Cobra along a twisty mountainous road......yeh, maybe one day
