"75" MPH tick on speedo

Has anyone seen this thing that's going around about the Evo 75 mph tick actually being 77? I don't have mine anymore but it intrigued me enough to ask you guys to verify. Here's a picture

If this has been discused before, I apologize. I tried googling beforehand

Very true, I've always noticed since buying the car my 75 mph mark was a tad off.

I saw the FaceBook post. I don't think It's 77mph. I'm pretty sure it's still 75mph.

Never noticed that, will have to check.
Meh, I don't do anything under 100mph so the 75mph line isn't even in my vocabulary.

Probably easier to move the line than find a way to re-calibrate the VSS and ECU.

Well at least I have an excuse to tell the cops why I went 2mph over the speed limit lol.

Are we just gonna overlook the fact that the guy who took this is going 160mph

This was my hunch when I first saw this on facebook.

Probably a calibration issue and Mitsu just moved the line a hair instead of messing with coding.

Given the bang for the buck we get from Evos, I think I can find it in my heart to forgive Mitsubishi engineers for this one. I'll give them credit though it took this long for someone to pinpoint this flaw. Now if I owned a Porsche or Ferrari...
