The elements are sensitive hold the can of maf cleaner back about 8-10 in and hit it multiple times gently. If you have a k&n or any oiled filter those get dirty. Still possible it's bad but that's rare. How is the vortex screen it didn't get sucked out did it? I have seen that happen

Had the same thing happen but my LICP blew off the coupler to the point that I heard it and felt it as soon as it happened. Make sure the IC hoses are long enough or it will happen again.
