Need help purchasing mesh/grilles for my evo 9 bumper...

So I just purchased my evo 9 bumper, and it's absolutely bare. To complete it, I need to buy all the mesh pieces. I was pricing out how much they'd be if I went to the dealer, and hooooooly ****. For all the pieces, I'm looking at about $350-400.

My question is, where can I purchase universal mesh that I can cut and install myself?
I'm really worried about getting cheap looking stuff, that'll make my car look like a rice rocket. I want the mesh to look close to original. Color also doesn't matter because I'll spray it black.

Any suggestions? Has anyone done this?

Yeah it is pricey having just done this myself when fixing up a track bumper. STM also has these and they maybe cheaper than some dealers esp with shipping. Good luck!

homedepot has a sheet you can buy for under $6 that will work....
http://www.homedepot.com/p/27-in-x-8...ord=metal+lath

spray this sheet black if you want and mount it... what i did

i used this on my lancer and works just fine. only issue i had is tabs on my replica evo7 bumper made for my oz rally broke off, so i just poprivited it inplace lol

if your uneasy about quality,, its very durable.. head down to HD and check it out before you buy it witch is what i did....

How much did it end up costing you?

Does it end up looking cheap, or actually looks good? Do you have any pictures?

I saw this stuff last week on amazon..it kinda matches the diamond shape of the current mesh and its already black:

Amazon.com: Motorcycle Black Universal 20x33cm Aluminum Diamond Mesh Grill Fairing insert: Automotive Amazon.com: Motorcycle Black Universal 20x33cm Aluminum Diamond Mesh Grill Fairing insert: Automotive

I feel your pain on the price..I need like three pieces but, really not worth $200 to me.

About $300. I accidentally bought an extra one of these: http://www.streettunedmotorsports.co...e_6402a033.htm. Might let it go a bit cheaper than dealer LMK.

+1. Better option is to see if someone has OEM mesh that needs repainting and they will let it go for cheap
