Removing dash for Takata Recall
I'm willing to bet a dealership will not touch your car if you have removed the dash already.
Personally, with the whole Takata deal going on right now, I would buy an aftermarket steering wheel and delete the airbag.
The idea of an airbag sending metal shrapnel through my neck is enough for me to just rely on my seatbelt in the event of an accident.

UPDATE: Okay so I dropped my car off at dealer this morning and they just called that it's done , about to go pick it up and see how everything looks , took roughly 3 hours seems about right if he took his time
Got the car back and looked over everything and it all seemed to be back in great shape , one small scuff but hardly noticeable , they also reflashed the Ecm for that old recall also , I reinstalled my gauges and CD player and everything is good to go , glad to say I survived this one

#2 if you are tuned you should have not let them flash the car
#3 go get re-tuned
I'm not tuned , Ecu has stock map on it , I have all my bolts ons and everything car is ready for a tune but CBRD is on vaca till I think the 25th until then I can't make an appt , and trust me if I was tuned they wouldn't touch it
Yup, you're lucky that you aren't tuned yet.
That ecu reflash Recall was due to complaints of the stock cat failure after a certain rpm. I believe it changes the fuel map slightly or limits your rev limiter.
Once you get tuned, that reflash will go away anyway.

Yes she did tell me that it called for a reflash I told them to go ahead , and yes I know how tuning works and reglashes that it will wipe everything out , like I said tho I'm untuned at the moment so no biggie , but yea it has to do with the cat but the car seems to run better but could be placebo lol

Cool, just was curious. Mitsubishi is very explicit about not flashing any cars without permission first (Even non evos).
Yeah mostly placebo. You'll see a real difference after the tune though

Yea im pretty stoked about the tune , cant wait to see what he can get out of her, hoping for over 300whp , as long as I hit that on his mustang dyno I know its making decent numbers for bolt ons - 93oct
I'm glad the dealership didn't screw up the reflash. Our local dealership here screwed up 2 Evos trying to flash the updated ROM to the ECU. One of the owners took the issue all the way up to Mitsubishi of NA which sent the dealership scrambling for a fix.
