I recently built a receiver hitch to cary my bicycle on my EVO ix. I based it on the post from iin10ded but changed it a little.

Here are my materials:

(x1) Curt 49524 24” receiver tube: $35 on amazon
(x1) 1 1/2” square tube 3/16” thick approximately 32” long
(x1) 2”x2” angle iron 3/16” thick approximately 4” long
(x2) Custom plate, plasma cut, 3/16” thick

The custom plate goes between the rear bumper support and the body and attaches with the factory bolts. I made it taller than needed and added two additional bolt holes because my bumper mounting holes where damaged from an accident. The rest of it just welds up. I was able to reuse factory bolts but I did have to add some washers on the mount by the rear diff. I have attached some pictures, PM me if you want the CAD file for the custom plate.

 

That's impressive, I have been thinking about a hitch for my evo too, but I don't have plasma, Cnc, or the know-how to weld.

I just got some measurements and a sketch haha.
