Brick

I know it's stupid to consider the Evo for anything other than DD and racing, but I need to pick up 4 pallets of brick.

I have my 04 Evo and my wife's 15 outlander sport. How much brick in lbs can I safely load in the trunk of my Evo? I can make as many trips as I need. No, I have no access to a pickup truck...

Thanks!

Your vehicle has a load rating normally printed on the door sill.... that's how much weight the vehicle can support. However, its not all loaded in the trunk.

Trunk only probably ~250lbs
On the inside ~4-500lbs

This is my guestimate based on prior knowledge of GVWR loading for most passenger cars.
However, people overload their cars all the time lol

what is the towing capacity of the outlander? rent a trailer at home depot or supply store and don't risk damage to the evo. Hell! you can even rent a truck at Home Depot.

And I thought I'd seen just about every type of post. Don't use the Evo for bricks

If you study the construction of your Evo's trunk floor you'll notice that it is basically compressed cardboard. You're better off hiring a U-haul truck than spending money to replace what you broke trying to save a penny.

You don't know anyone with a pick up truck? In PA?

Not possible. HA

Kidding aside. Cheapest route out would be to just rent a trailer as stated above and don't nasty up either car's trunk/hatch space. I guess that is if the Outlander has a hitch. I've never looked at one long enough to pay attention so I have no clue.

2 pallets of brick will probably blow the tires on a pickup truck.

This reminds me of a picture I saw years ago. Of a ford focus somebody overladed with bags of concrete mix. The rear shocks were sticking out the top of the shock towers.

I was going to make multiple trips, but I just wondering about the situation as a whole. Sounds like a bad situation any way you want to cut it.

No Evo hauling for me! Ill find a truck some way!

Thanks

This reminds me of when I ordered a yard of dirt for the yard. When I wasn't there to watch, what I got was an entire dump truck load. It covered the end of my double wide driveway. After using all of this I could I had to hire another truck to take it away.
