Factory Mitsubishi Oil Filter what brand is it?

Hi,
Factory Mitsubishi Oil Filter, what brand is it? Does anyone knows who is the actual manufacturer?
Has it been cross sectioned and compared to other brands?

Thanks

The oil filter has been crossed reference many times. You will find the info on the top sticky. Oem oil filter for the evo is no good. You want to either get wix or amsoil oil filter

Hmm... I have been using the oem filter for the last 13 years and don't find anything bad about it. Why no good?

While the amsoil filter has been proven in that one simple test to filter the best, I can buy two OEM filters for the price... plus I have to track down an amsoil dealer to get one...

At least back up your claim for why you wouldn't use those filters. Your comment is not productive.

I to was a true oem filter believer until I read one of the post on the sticky. There was a guy that had cut open several different filters brands to expose the internal gut of the filter to see how well it had worked. To my surprise the oem filter result was that it didn't filter the oil well. You don't have to believe me, but at least do your research before you make such comments as " no thanks".

Cause Amsoil as a company can s%^& a d(*&

Wix is not easily obtainable in my area. I do not use on OEM filter either I prefer synthetic filtering media. Been using the same filter for 12-13 years now. I think I'll just stick with it!!

The filter test was a great write up!!

As far as research hahahaha!!! Now that is funny. I've prob done more maintenance on EVO's than you've seen them on the road LOL

One of the web articles that opened the Amsoil, he said it had good materials, but very small amount of surface area, and he did not think it would filter good, or it could clog easily. Not sure if the revised version was done after that.
