IACV Test

Hey guys
Iv watched the video on how to test the IACV.
But my question is, when I turn the ignition ON is the IACV ment to go in and back out ?

When I turn mine ON it goes in and stays in, then when i turn it OFF it goes back out.

My idle is playing up and im not sure how the IACV should be behaving.

Thanks.

That's normal. Did you do a boost leak test?
