Just curious on how much I'm going to spend if I get Evo 7 body parts. Im asking mainly about front/rear bumper, hood, JDM headlights and side skirts. Also is there any modification required to fit a 7 bumper and hood on an evo 8/9?

 

I've put a usdm hood and front bumper on a recently imported jdm 7 for a customer and everything bolted right up. So I can confirm it works going eight to seven, so should be good seven onto eight for at least the parts I listed.

I'm not too sure on costs as we actually have the 7 in Canada and don't know anyone whose imported parts for one yet.

The best way to do it, is find a good condition 7 bumper/lower lip/hood/undertray in the same OEM color as your 8/9. You can find them in Japan and Canada (and occasionally on Ebay). This way you get all the grills/bumper support pieces. The other thing you will need is a LHD Evo 7 hood latch (which you can order from any Mitsubishi dealer in Germany).

If you try to order all the pieces individually the parts list is long and expensive.

I can't comment on the shipping, but I recently looked for those parts as well. The pricing I could find on average was:

$300 Front bumper
$200 Rear bumper
$100 Wing
$700 GSR HID heads
$300 Tails

That's all based on used parts and the body parts may have needed paint. I decided to hold off since shipping was likely to be expensive given the dimensions of the parts.
