AEM Digital Wideband Gauge Issue

Hello EvoM,

Recently my AEM digital wideband gauge has stopped working. When starting up the car it will come on and read 14.8 and then start counting higher and after a few seconds goes to ---. The gauge stays like this the whole time while I am driving.

Does anyone have any idea what the issue might be? The sensor need to be replaced perhaps?

Thanks!

Sensor could be going bad. How long have you had it?

I have had the gauge installed since November. I run e85 (not sure if this is important).

Probably a bad sensor or maybe an exhaust leak. You can remove the sensor, soak a rag with gasoline, wrap it around the sensor and it should read full rich and stay there. Once you remove it it should go back to full lean. Don't touch the sensor with your bare hands when it's on because it heats up.

If it's sitting on 14.7 or 14.8 it's your sensor. Mine just went (fourth sensor now over the years and over a couple cars) and it always goes out like that.

Agreed with everything said above, if its staying at the optimum stoich level then going to ---- its definitely your sensor , just going to have to order a new one, where do you have the sensor located?
