I am not sure if this is normal, but the PCV is working like a pulse width modulated motor. I can hear it going back and forth at a high rate, i also used a stethoscope to verify where the noise was coming from, and you can hear this bastard going crazy..

Car currently has Kelfords 272's installed and I am not sure because of this if this is normal, I would imagine not at all. it will stop at times, and then starts back up. Thought it was a bad injector at first going through a strange duty cycle, but it is the PCV valve, anyone ever had this issue?

 

PCV should be closed at idle. It should only open during light load on the engine (ie: cruising down the HWY). You have the 272 cams though, so with the less than stock vacuum at idle it probably is the cause the valve opens and closes randomly. What is your vacuum at idle?
On stock cams I usually averaged a pull of 440 mm/Hg (400ft above sea level) at idle (850 rpm).
OEM service manual states the minimum should be 383 mm/Hg at idle (850ish rpm).
