New owner intro

I just picked up my first 4g63, white 06 evo 9 with basic bolt ons. Exhaust, IC pipes, exedy twin disk clutch, walbro 255. It made 300 wheel at dynotech in MA on their mustang dyno.

My first initial mods will be a spoiler delete and some wheels. The stock wheels are plasti dipped but peeling. And this stuff is a nightmare to remove I'm learning. Good excuse to buy new wheels . The car also needs a good detail, the white paint looks like it hasn't seen a clay bar in 10 years .

Id also like to try to flash the no lift shift feature on it, hope I can figure out how to do it myself. I've been using hp tuners for years so I hope I figure it out.

My winter plans for the car are kellford 272 cams, springs and related parts.
Id like to get the car into a high 11s 1/4 mile on the stock motor, stock turbo, full interior and 93 octane.
Hopefully the stock drivetrain will hold up

here is what I just sold to get the evo.
04 cobra 619 whp 568 tq.
I need something that's a toy but still practical enough to haul 2 kids around in. I think a evo is a excellent choice.

Welcome! I got the Kelford 272 Cams during the winter about 2 years ago with Supertech Single Springs and Reatainers. Loved it

Good Luck with the car!

It's a spoilerless RS trunk that I had painted .

Most body shops would be able to weld and patch up the holes but this was a quicker option for me.

The no spoiler makes me sad , always thought it as one of the core parts of what makes an Evo an Evo. You have any plans of E85 in the future?

After 2 cans of wd 40 and a power washer, I was able to get most of the plasti dip off the wheels.
