So after 7 years and 3 Evo's later......

I have finally acquired another wicked white Evo,and I have Always wanted a JDM bumper .

But unfortunately they no longer come prepainted, and I am not sure what color to paint the "diffuser"

I have seen in multiple threads that the diffuser should be eisen grey, but most white Evo's that I see look to be black?

Are my eyes deceiving me? Is it dark grey, or black?

If anyone has high-res photos to share, please do as the bumper is en-route

Typically, you just leave that section unpainted. It comes in a dark grey color.

THE LOWER REAR DIFFUSER PART IS TYPICALLY PAINTED GRAPHITE GRAY (A39) AND THE REST OF THE BUMPER IS PAINTED THE COLOR OF THE CAR

 

The first attachment appears to be black... Although it is far away.


The second is a different car.... Although close up you can definitely tell that it is dark grey... Most likely Eisen

 

The lower section is Eisen Gray. I just had my bumper painted white with Eisen Gray on the diffuser area and it looks great.

toe hook comes pre painted as same color the diffuser should be, not sure the code but could easily look up

i just got my JDM bumper painted and it matched really well

 

I just had the body shop copy the gray from the tow hook cover as close as they can and paint the lower part. looks great. Think they used a gm paint code. cant tell the difference side by side.

 

It might be a dark grey but definitely not graphite grey. There's clearly a contrast in color on the graphite grey bumpers and the diffuser, and Mitsubishi isn't going to use different diffuser paint colors depending on the car's exterior color.
