Ayc failure in snow
Hi I have ayc failure in my 01 jdm vii (3 lights) assuming it's the pump. My question is does anybody know how this will effect driving on snow/gravel/ off road in terms of traction and getting the tail out for a bit of fun

It's your ACD thats failed if you have the terrain select mode lights on. AYC is the torque vectoring rear diff system on the Evos 4-9. Not sure if AYC is affected by ACD failure. Basically you have an open center diff now, should still be able to slide around on the snow with ease if you want.

Cool thanks. And how about grip for normal driving in snow would this create the effect of driving a car with an open diff (power not going to all wheels)or would I still effectively have awd

You still have awd. If you track your car you'll find it wont handle as well with an open center diff. When my E4 had an open center diff I never had any issues driving in the snow.
