Can I run 225 40 18 tyres on 9" rims??

Can I run 225 40 18 tyres on 9" rims??

hi, as tittle, I have a very good deal on two of 225/40/18 nitto invo tires, but my evo rims is 9" is it still be ok to run 225? Will it cause any damage? Thanks

Per the charts, a 225 is one size too small for a 9" wheel. 235 is the min / 265 is the max

Its not a traction related advisory, its too much tire stretch noted by the tire & wheel manufacturers

Im sure you can run it w/no problem, but too skinny of a footprint on an EVO not only looks poor but will not perform well
