gimme some racing stickers
Hello all,
My brother just got his new rally car!!! He upgraded from an EVO4 groupe N to an EVO5 groupe A. It's got the big brakes, large turbo, bang system, motec, ohlins shocks, etc...
I guess the car is pretty insane, it ran 2 bars (29 psi) all day on the large turbo last weekend during initial tests. No problems at all, damn this engine is strong! Also, not to throw oil on the fire, but I asked him why he did not consider getting an sti/wrx for racing? His answer was: "eats oil like a mother, gearbox is too weak and expensive to replace, architecture makes it hard to work on, not very reliable as a race car..."
I am just posting to get some feedback...
Also, could anyone tell me how to post in the gallery area of the site? Or where can I find instructions?
Thanks1

you're right, he lives in Europe. As far as the car is concerned, he bought it used (not raced much though) for 25,000Euros, so roughly $30,000. Not bad really, considering what it is.
There is a huge difference between the EVO4 and the 5! They were leaving tire marks all day on the back road they tested it on! The thing seems to love to power slide through turns. I guess his only comment about it was that he had to relearn how to brake, since the brakes are so good on the 5! He was braking way too early all day.
I envy him! If only I could drive as well as he does...
Thanks for your comments.
PS: here is another shot.
