Evo 9 Haltech Help

Hey Guys,

Just recently picked up a evo 9 with a haltech platinum PNP and i am running into issues. I was driving the vehicle on pump 93 and drove 40 minutes to pick up some oil plugs and a filter and on the way back home the car shut off and wouldn't restart, after giving it 5 minutes in the middle of a intersection we got this car moving. after about a mile we were driving and the AFR's went to 10.0 and car died, it did about 7 times and we got it to the shop.....

the shop got the tuner to remote in and said it was the AEM wideband and said replace the sensor. We went ahead and did this and filled the car up on ignite e90 with NO GAS left in the tank.

Needless to say we are still running into issues of the car shutting off and before it does shut off it is going 10.0 AFRs.......

MOD LIST here:

4g63 2.3l Stroker setup

HKS Cam Gear
HKS Timing Belt
Haltech Pro Engine Management /w flex fuel sensor
Spoolin Up COP Sytem
Fuel Injector Clinic 2150cc Injectors

Dual walbro 450 fuel pumps
-upgraded feed and return lines. All AN fittings

Are you on Speed Density and running an Omni 4 Bar MAP sensor? If so I'd check that.

Were you able to get your car tuned properly? Was the Omni 4 bar MAP sensor the problem? I'd appreciate it if you could report back since this could help out other Evo owners.

Thanks for reporting back. Send your old MAP sensor back to OMNI and they will replace it for you for free, if you haven't done that already.
