my friend is recommending me to put gt3776 turbo in my evo 8 as my evo 8 is on stock basis it has ets intercooler 3.0 inch, tomie poncams 262, exedy twin clutch and the kakimoto exhaust system wanted to ask if the turbo would work good or no.

 

i think thats too big for stock block...

 

Sounds like your looking into turbos. I recommend a fp red. Mhi bolt on housing for budget or stainless steel v band for best results. Or a 6266 less torque stress on stock block compared to fp red. I have a red on a 146k stock block aside from head studz.

yes i was thinking for fp red and black also but then I was getting this for free so i thought to ask for it but then again i would be upgrading my evo for higher hps including built block

 

Long as you dont mind having no power until 5krpm.

 

Take an opinion of the guy who will be tuning your car.

Get a turbo and cams for once . For e.g you have aimed for 550whp so your turbo and cams will be able to take you there.

The cams which you have mentioned are very mild .
Meanwhile, order Speed Density kit from MAperformance , get it tuned and enjoy your car.
