Without a tune you will damage your engine.

Depends on how far you want to push it. I wouldn't push boost pressures too high, as the FP Red can very likely put more air out than your stock engine can handle safely.
Are you going to run e85? How about injectors? Going bigger than stock?
You can run out of injector easily, even with the stock turbo!
I'd say that to go red, you're potentially skipping a bunch of supporting mods to make proper/safe use of it. If you've got a line on a red for a great price, I wouldn't hesitate, but I wouldn't just slap it on, either. An engine costs WAY more than a stock frame turbo.

You can achieve that goal with an FP green, or you could have your stock turbo upgraded. 400whp with the proper tune and supporting mods should be fine on stock internals.

If your thinking of going this route, I would suggest just having your stock turbo upgraded.

Yes stock block can run fp red.

If you only want 400 hp. You can do it with the 9 turbo, cams, e85

Back in 2010ish, I easily made 400-420whp with an FP Red on 93 oct. This was on stock block & head with S2 cams. I beat the crap out of that car & never had issues. It was an MR, so 6 spd & on multiple occasions it saw 8100rpms.

I also had an Evo 8, with all the bolt-ons and a Mhi housing FPRed and Kelford 272 cams and made 460hp+ on 93 octane pump gas for 2.5 years before I sold it.

It was an awesome combo, but could also be done with an FPGreen once the comp/turbine wheels were later revised and hit full boost faster.

It should do it. If it doesn't, more aggressive cams will get it there.

that's what I was thinking to but I got such a good deal on the cams I picked them up. If I can't get it I may go s2 and do Springs and retainers
