been out of the evo game for awhile and was thinking about getting back into one. Was looking at parts and noticed they don't have them on their website anymore. instead having dominator turbos.

 

Idk if its common, my buddy had one in his x for 4k and it pretty much grenaded.

 

They all blew up and MAP got tired of rebuilding them.
I'm kinda joking, but not. I had the bearing go out in one. They rebuilt it and the shaft broke in half during my first track day. When I called them back, they told me they were no longer doing rebuilds but would give me store credit.

 

Yea. My buddy shaft bent and wheels came in contact with housing. No engine damage.
Map gave him his full refund.

 

I don't know what happened between their first turbos and the later, but what a shame. To be fair, MAP did take care of every person that had a failure, as far as I know. They were very fair about the whole thing.

 

I am rockin mine still and i was a beta tester.
