Hey guys, I'm new to the evo world and should be picking up an VIII at the end of this week. I've been trying to do my fair share of research on the car and finally found a tuner that's local to me. I stopped by and talked with him a bit trying to get a game plan together for the car... with the goal being 400-500 dd. He recommended putting in an aeromotive 340 pump over the Wally 255 because he's seen several failures with the walbro 255.... (I've always ran the 255 in all my SRT4s and my race bike with no issues myself but I've read about a lot of others having issues)

My question is what do you guys think of the aeromotive pump? When searching I really didn't see anything that was recent.

I have heard they dont survive in e85, in case you were considering running it.

I have been running a racetronix 340 for a few years in my turbo lsx truck, on 93. it has been great and it was way cheaper than a aeromotive.

 

I'm still kinda sketchy on e85. We have a couple places local that have it but I'm not sure how there consistency is. So for now I'll be on pump 93

 

We only have pump gas out here and we all run DW and Aero pumps after all having had bad experiences with Walbros. I'd recommend it.
