Why would someone do this?

So i noticed this manual boost controller attached to the vacuum line of the brake booster (the one that has the check valve inside it)

Any idea why someone would do this?

you never heard of adjusting your brakes psi? I do it all the time for maximum braking pressure. sometimes I put 2 mbc's. It drastically increases the brake boosters boost.

IMO I don't see how it could be a boost controller with nipples that large.(that's what she said) Definitely looks like a proportioning valve to change brake pedal feel for some reason.

A reason to do this would be to decrease the boost assist of the brake system.
In doing so will make the pedal feel harder while requiring more pedal force.

Aligned with a modification to significantly increase the brake gain of your corner brake hardware, decreasing booster assist can help balance such a modification. I do not believe that is a MBC in the sense, hence the ID size of the hose is like 10mm, however, similar mechanism.
