FP Green with S2 went kaboom just looking for some ideas

Budget is around 2800 to 3000 shipped

oem block new built from mitsubishi with no core charge

Curt Brown block runs around 3k plus core

64 core arent expensive though

 

added 2 degrees of timing and forgot I had done this 15 days earlier with out logging it.

Took the car out 2 weeks later let her rip and it threw a rod my stupidity thing is car was super low on boost but evo 7 tend to be weaker. Car was built for spirited driving and auto x. Super low on boost on 24 psi but 5 degrees at peak tq and 11 or 12 degrees at redline.

Dont shoot me its my personal car I was messing around with it and got forgetfull.

Do like the idea of a green and a 2.4 but dont want to dump much money into it because i kind of wanted to sell it off.

 

Damn, that's cheap.

What fuel? 5* seem a like a lot if peak torque is around 4k-4500. Should be zero, or maybe 1-2* at most if you're feeling froggy.

 

Don't worry about it buddy. Live and learn I guess.. As long as you get back into the evo it's cool with me!

 

It was on 91 octane it was 3 degrees before but boost was really low around 22-23 psi.

With my personal Evo I am willing to do some risky stuff lol.

 

This is a newb question probably, but on topic. Why when you have the motor open would you go H beams when you can spend a little more for the I beams?

 

It's either Eagle Hbeams (cheap), Carrillo Hbeams, or Oliver Ibeams. No Manley junk.
