CBRD BBK Turbos

Where can i buy and browse the CBRD BBK turbos? I cant find it can someone point me in the right direction or are they no longer available new ? I just want to know more about them since im in the market for a stock spool turbo like the fp green.

Goals 470-500whp <400tq DD/street driven beast on stock block with stock spool like the oem 9 turbo.

Thanks in advance.

Blouch made the BBK turbos for CBRD. Now they are available directly from Blouch and are called the Blouch Dominator 1.0, 2.0, and 3.0. XT = journal bearing, XTR = ball bearing. Check with Blouch for which of the 3 will best suit your need/hp goals.

Also I would also check with MAP for best pricing.

Awesome thanks seems like these turbos are pretty new? Not a lot of dyno results to see torque curves and spool chart to compare them to the fp rainbow series.

The BBK Turbos have been around for a very long time. You'll find a lot of results on the BBK full, a decent amount on the BBK-B, and only a handful on the BBK-C. Search bar is your friend

To get that kind of whp with anywhere near stock like spool you will need to run E85. There is simply no turbo that will get you to 470-500whp with stock spool on pump gas. So decide which is more important, spool or top end hp, then choose the turbo accordingly.

The closest thing I can think of for anywhere near your goals is the Ross Sport HPB-IX, but even that is not going to spool as fast as stock.

You should also consider a 71HTA CHRA, since you can use it with your Evo 9 hotside. It wont quite get you to 470whp, but it is a great little turbo and will be a blast on E85.

I disagree, I made 450/400 on a 71hta with E85 and stock cams. Throw in a set of S1's and you'll hit 465whp. S2's will get it over 480whp and touching 500whp. I track my 71hta Evo and it's a monster. Perfect for the street, auto-x, and road course

I daily drive my evo ix with springs/cams and a CBRD BBK FULL.. I'm at 400whp on a mustang dyno on 93 octane... this thing spools fast and hard.. very good turbo for both DD and track.

Can you get a 71HTA to 500whp on E85, probably. Is it a good idea for track use? I am not so sure. That is a lot of backpressure and I would think that your EGT's would climb pretty high. I personally would recommend a larger turbo (for less boost and less backpressure) if track use is your goal.

OP, if you do decide to try to push 470whp out of a 71HTA, definitely get a FP 84mm surge port compressor cover.

IIRC, the BBK lite is the only turbo discontinued and no longer available new. However, the Blouch dominator turbos are just a rebranding of the BBK turbos that comes with only small visual changes.

If you look them up on FP's website they are being packaged with the 84mm compressor cover as standard currently.
