Mini EL327 blue tooth not talking to ECU, please help
Guys, my orange engine CEL warning light came up and I had no OBD2 gear as stated in previous thread, so I just bought a mini EL327mini blue tooth connector, down loaded the Torque app for android and hooked my mini up to the OBD2 port, read all the instructions and Ok well it didn’t work, the little blue car icon kept flashing so I went to the Torque Adaptor Status and the connection to the ecu was down. I checked pairing and all good. So it looked like the EL327 isn’t going to talk to the ECU, so I hooked it up to my NA Subaru Forester and it all worked well, the blue car icon went hard and I got all the Torque app readings going on, all good there.
So it looks like the EL327 is not faulty. The Evo has an Ecutek locked ECU and I am wandering if that could be preventing my EL327 from reading the CEL? But for everything I have read it shouldn’t be, if the car gets a CEL come up on the dash, then an OBD2 should be able to read it, shouldn’t it?
Anyone been through this or have any good advice, thanks?

I had issues hooking it up to my android car stereo as well. It seems to work when it wants. Luckily, I have one android tablet that I downloaded the torque app to and it hooked up to the tablet fine. Try a different android device if you have one.
