is it worth upgrading intercooler and piping kits?

hey guys, so im starting to mod my 8mr, at the moment it pretty much just has a:
-3" exhaust twin dump pipe
-k&n panel filter
-upgraded deatschwerks fuel pump
-3 port boost solenoid
-has been tuned at 211kw

mods in mind are
-intake (injen)?
-upgrade turbo
-bigger injectors (1000cc)
-retune

what i want to know is if it is worth upgrading the intercooler with these mods i have in mind and if it will help with power gain at all, or should i just stick with the oem intercooler

another question i have is if it would be worth changing my exhaust to a full turboback exhaust system, and if that would benefit in any way

thankyou guys

282hp, not worth it in my opinion.
Im running 450hp/400tq ~335kw and Im still on the stocker. Granted Im sure I would benefit from a better unit, Im just poor. But I run E85 so theres some give.

You can retain the stock fmic at those power levels, obviously an aftermarket one will only help but its not absolutely necessary. At the very minimum swap upgrade the LICP.

Yes, a more efficient intercooler will give a slight increase in power and will resist heat soak longer. Since you are in Sydney I would say check out plasmaman, he makes some really nice stuff https://plazmaman.com

All these guys are right above, Americaaans know their stuff. My car is about at your level at the moment but I have a 3inch turbo back and LICP plazman, if I was going to blow more bucks on a FMIC, I'd do a bundle including 1200cc injects, 272s, fp red BB, E85, 450 and maybe a plaz FMIC

I went to plazmaman and bought it direct, didn't really notice much but it looks cute, suppose to spin up a bit quicker but I didn't notice it. Best mod at my level is a nice set of lighter RPFs and some nice Advan or hankook rubber for the track, maybe some suspension work like whitelines and a set of good coil overs are a good investment especially when you hit turn one at eastern creek at 200kph

UICP and LICP are good, useful upgrades. Your stock IC will be more than enough for your power level.
