Does anyone have an 8 or 8MR but has converted to a 9 rear bar?
thinking of purchasing a 9 rear bar tomorrow but before i fork out $800 for the genuine bar just want to make sure it is the look im going for
any photos would be great guys thanks!

 

Firstly you need to understand what you deem as an EVO 9 rear bar is not the same as what most users here will deem it to be...

This is primarily a U.S. site, and U.S. Evo 9 vehicles were delivered with a different rear bar to what we in Australia did...

What we call an evo 9 rear bar, U.S. will call a JDM rear bar...

Universally for the CT9A the 9/JDM rear bars are thought of as by far the best design...

It is hard to make a decision from pictures alone, I would try to head to a car meet locally and check them out for yourself...
