Evo 8 won't start

hey guys so today I ran into my first major problem with my 2005 evo 8 mr. I was riding down the highway and when I went to give it gas it wasn't doing anything. So I pulled over and it wouldn't turn over. The starter goes but it won't fire up. I got it to once and then it just died again. So I got it towed home and changed the fuel pump because I couldn't hear it whine anymore. But that didn't fix it. I was just wondering if you guys had any ideas on what it could be. The only thing I have done recently is take off the muffler. And also the car it mostly stock

no fuel pump coming on means no crank signal. Are you throwing any codes? Visually Inspect your crank sensor wiring etc.

No codes on the dash. Don't have anything to scan it And what gets me is it will turn over sometimes. It just takes awhile and then when I give it gas sometimes it will rev. And sometimes it's spuddeds and hesitates.

Sorry guys forgot to add a few of the things I did. That was one. And then I just did a scan. It's just a cheap scanner for cars but it didn't pick up anything. And I don't have an evo scan yet

You individually pulled each pertinent fuse and checked them?

No I didn't check all the fuses I can do that. And the battery was good because I had to disconnect to to change spark plugs. Because I thought maybe it was spark.

Are there any other lights on the dash? My alternator just recently went out and I experienced similiar symptoms.
